When WFG Chairman's Council member Ed Mylett's
dream of becoming a professional baseball player
ended with an injury in 1993, he reprioritized his life.
Deciding service to others came first, he began
working at a group home for troubled children -
where he discovered he wanted to help their parents,
too. After attending his first business presentation
meeting, Ed decided to become a financial
services professional to help others reach
their financial goals.
Since she was a little girl, Executive Vice Chairman
Penney Ooi was interested in learning about money.
She majored in finance in the United States so she
could learn how to manage and preserve wealth, unlike
what was taught in her native Malaysia. Now with more
than 15 years experience in the financial services industry
under her belt, Penney's hard work is paying off, as she continues to educate herself and others through her WFG business.
Senior Vice Chairman John Woo's degree in Hotel
and Restaurant Management may seem a world
away from his financial services career, but with
both, he gets to work with people. Since he considers
himself a people person, he loves that his WFG
business lets him interact each day with
individuals and families, to help them discover
their financial goals.
As a U.S. Marine, Senior Vice Chairman
Dan Charlier learned the discipline and leadership
skills to succeed in the business world. After a
decorated military career, Dan left the Marine Corps
and was soon introduced to the WFG opportunity.
Dan met his wife, Christine, while building his WFG
business. The two married in 2005 and have
since spent their time dreaming big and
encouraging others to let WFG inspire them to reach their goals.
Executive Vice Chairman Jeff Levitan credits WFG
for teaching him everything he needed to know to
succeed - including field training, mentoring and
financial management skills. He used these
business-building techniques to construct a
solid financial services business and became
financially independent by the time he was 30
years old. He believes praise, recognition, and
encouragement motivates his team to
continue to grow.
When she attended her first Business Presentation
Meeting, CEO Marketing Director Marcy Blochowiak
found a great opportunity for women. With no
glass ceiling at WFG, Marcy realized she could
build a business on her terms while helping
other people. A former flight attendant, Marcy
loves to be around people, and sees the potential
in them. Marcy works closely with her husband
Jeff, and both are focused on helping people
move from Dreaming to Doing®.
Qualified Marketing Director Grace Zhu has always
had a dream of helping people. Her background of
offering insurance in China found a natural fit for
World Financial Group in West Covina, Calif. While
helping other families, Grace found WFG to be her
family. The experience has changed her life and
she seeks to change the lives of those
around her.
Executive Marketing Director Elan Michael has a
background in the financial services industry but
when he was introduced to WFG it was the company's
vision and mission made a strong
impact on Elan, which is why he made the move to
become a WFG business owner. He joined WFG
and, as they say, "the rest is history".
Senior Marketing Director Fradel Barber, from
Brooklyn, NY, was a student seeking a part-time
job when she heard about World Financial Group.
Always having been interested in having her own
business, she jumped right into the WFG
opportunity. Along with helping others build a
sound financial future, Fradel has found that
learning how to build a WFG business, while
teaching others how to do so as well, to be
very inspiring.
Executive Marketing Director John Cordero has
found his purpose in World Financial Group by
helping people. In this video, John reminisces about
two friends who were part of the reason why he
joined WFG and the success he has found.
From St. Paul, MN, Senior Marketing Director Jack Yang
came to World Financial Group with a computer
engineering degree but no education in how money
works. His curiosity about WFG has now made him
"financially literate", and he seeks to help others
become financially savvy as well.
Executive Marketing Director Paul Hart hadn't owned
a suit or talked in front of a large crowd before joining
World Financial Group. But after putting his all into the
WFG opportunity, he no longer sees himself having an
ordinary life, but an extraordinary life.
Senior Marketing Director Racquel Ramlal wanted two things
out of her life: to inspire others and be financially independent.
Her parents became clients of World Financial Group
some time ago and she saw how the WFG system
worked to help families. She soon joined WFG, which has
been inspiring her and others ever since.
Executive Marketing Director Bernadette Kim from
Austin, TX joined World Financial Group after being
a longtime client. She notes that, at first, she wasn't
interested in joining the company because she had
no understanding of the business, but once she
started her training, she found she liked having the
opportunity to help herself and others.
